Sydney Children’s Hospital approached Bliss Media with the objective of developing an app designed specifically for adolescents and young adults with epilepsy, their parents/carers, and the clinicians involved in their care.
The app needed to be engaging, interactive, and contain succinct and easily accessible messages to ensure use. The purpose of the app was to provide education, provide self-management tools and link the adolescent with their treating doctor and support networks.
Bliss Media’s recommended solution was to develop highly engaging and easy-to-navigate native iOS and Android apps using the SilverStripe CMS for content updates. Both native apps were built universally (tablet and mobile), to ensure compatibility across all mobile devices.
Designed for the users.
The apps were designed to be appealing to the three identified audiences, to enable easy engagement and endeavour to encourage interaction and provide support.
We tested the prototype on a real audience of teachers and volunteers. Testing was conducted one-on-one with a series of user tasks and questions based on the audit and workshop outcomes.
