Bliss Media was engaged by the Bayside City Council to firstly conduct a web transformation strategy and then develop the solution based on our recommendations. The Council identified the need for their digital presence to have a greater focus on the needs of the customer, and the primary goal of the engagement was for this requirement to be transformed into a tangible deliverable.
Digital Audit & Information Architecture.
The council identified a need to have a greater focus on customer experience. To meet this need, Bliss Media conducted a full audit of the existing website. We met with key stakeholder groups and businesses to ensure their required outcomes matched those identified in the audit. For the outcome we produced a final report, including the new Information Architecture and a recommendation on technology implementation. Following on from the strategic recommendations and information architecture piece, we completed a full website design using the approved wireframes.
The outcome of the usability testing on our proposed IA was very positive, with users finding the new layout clear and easy to use. It re-iterated the need for simple and clear language, and for the navigation to be explicit in the directions it provides. It also highlighted the need for the pathway to complaints/concerns as clearly as possible.

Website Development & Drupal CMS.
Following on from the strategic recommendations and information architecture piece, we completed a full website design using the the approved wireframes. We were subsequently selected as the agency to redevelop the website using the Drupal govCMS. The development is underway and the site is scheduled to be live in September 2016
One of the focal points for BCC was the large of forms available to residents, in order to request various services and perform a variety of tasks. Bliss Media developed a flexible solution, allowing the council to use Drupal to easily customise their own online forms to accept event invitations, take payments and allow various different types of registrations. The site is integrated with a number of different back-end systems, such as CRM and event booking systems, preventing double-entry by BCC staff and reducing administration time and margin for error.
