Spring Festival a success

Thousands of Manningham residents enjoyed the inaugural Manningham Spring Festival, on Sunday 18 November 2007.
Dorothy the Dinosaur kicked off the festival with a dance party on the main stage, before being swamped by hundreds of very loyal fans, during walks around
The vibrant entertainment continued throughout the afternoon, with presentations from young dancers, choirs, belly dancers and singers, including the Manningham Children’s Choir, Phoenix Theatre Company and the Rebecca Barton School of Dance.
People cooled off with ice-cream and soft drink treats, as they browsed the community expo, featuring displays from a variety of community organisations, such as Doncare, Manningham Bicycle Users Group and the
Children put their creativity to use in the kids workshop and made colourful hats and costumes for wear during the parade, led ably by the tallest person in the park, towering over the crowd on a pair of stilts!
Clowns, youth bands, rides and dance demonstrations made the day a lively and action-packed success.
