Carols by Candlelight 2007

Bringing families together is the central theme of this year’s Manningham Carols by Candlelight.
Residents are encouraged to pack a picnic rug and head down to
Cr Ron Kitchingman, said Manningham Carols by Candlelight had become a traditional favourite among thousands of local people.
“Carols by Candlelight gives families the chance to take a break from the hustle and bustle of Christmas shopping and break-up parties, and spend a few relaxing hours under the summer stars in a beautiful park.”
“The service itself starts at 8pm and will feature some of Manningham’s finest musicians, including an ensemble band from local churches, and the Manningham Concert Band. These talented performers will be complemented by the glorious sounds of our community Gospel choir, along with the Bellbird singers, who will lead the traditional carols.”
“Dancers from Rebecca Barton School of Dance shall liven up the stage and introduce the audience to one of the night’s most important guests,” he said.
Cr Kitchingman said Manningham Council was hopeful that Santa Claus could make a special visit to the park.
“December is the busiest month of the year at Santa’s workshop but I understand one of the elves has made special arrangements for Santa to visit Manningham during the festive show. I
